The elbow part and the joint are cheaply built and there is no sealant. I installed it and within 2 hours I could here water squirting sound and when I went to my kitchen I see puddle of water. This part is junk don’t buy it. The customer service is closed for the weekend and I have to deal with the water damage. I was hoping this would work and very disappointed with the quality. I tried tightening the elbow joint but to no avail.

Oh my gosh, this filter! I'm so happy I got it. I recently was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease and I have been taking the natural approach to heal, so of course I've been trying to get rid of as many toxins in my life as possible. Though I was very hesitant to get a water filter because of the investment. I almost went with the $500 Berkey filter but then realized RO has a lot more science to back it. I live in an apartment so the countertop filter was perfect for me. I thought of asking my landlord if I could install the under counter one, but I read a lot of reviews of leaks happening and causing property damage.... Not sure if that would have happened, but I do know that WON'T happen with the countertop version. I'm looking forward to using it even when we eventually own a home. It's very inconspicuous and convenient and doesn't create any annoyances while I'm washing dishes like my Brita filter would. What I do is fill up my gallon glass jar which has a stainless steel spigot. It takes maybe 10-15 min, I haven't timed it. I just do other things in the kitchen while it's filling and then I have water for my husband and me for the whole day usually. The taste is amazing! I love how clean and pure it tastes. I mounted it under the cupboard so you can hardly notice it and it doesn't take up any valuable counter space. Would highly recommend this filter!!

Bought this to go with APEC Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water Filter System (ESSENCE ROES-PH75). The system comes with a standard chrome faucet. I bought this Apec faucet to complement my stainless colored faucet. Really close match in color. Looks great. Has a better feel than the standard chrome faucet.

I ordered the full set of 5 filters. The pre-filter and 2 big carbon filters were in a box, great. The membrane came in a heavy duty sealed bag, no box. Still OK. The FINAL in-line carbon filter was delivered as pictured. No bag, NOTHING! I thought it was a used customer return or something, but looks like others have experienced the same. The only thing to keep contaminants from getting into this in-line filter are the little soft rubber plugs. Hugely disappointed at the lack of cleanliness in this product's delivery.

This is 4 month old filter. NY,Brooklyn, private house. Family of 2 adults and 1 kid . Keep your filters fresh! Update: 1 month old filter fully blocked by .....,just look at the pictures, same location..

This is a good water filter. It is easy to mount under a sink, or elsewhere, but you may need a plumber to help with the hookup depending on your particular installation and plumbing skills. The best feature is the ease of changeout of filters; quarter turn off, quarter turn on with good O ring seals, not gaskets. We use this with a "T" off our cold water line to a separate APEC faucet for drinking and cooking water. We do not filter the entire cold water supply with this unit. We recommend the higher level of filter, the "P" unit for Particulates. ( We would recommend a reverse osmosis filter if you are on a well or other doubtful water supply.) We are not on a well, but our local water system just does the minimum required testing, suffers from aging pipes and needs to chlorinate heavily so filtered drinking water is a must. And, the water tastes GREAT. Also, the manufacturer maintains a "chat" line for customer service which I did use with good results.

Replacing the stage 1-3 filters was straightforward. The video for doing this was helpful. It even helped in that I was bit confused about which way to turn to loosen the filter housing and I could just watch the video for which way. You need the original wrench to open the 3 filter housings. Turn off the water inlet as well as the tank. Be aware that water will likely spill out a little bit when you loosen the filter housing since each of those filter housing legs are filled with water. So be sure to put a rag or a tub under (preferably rectangular, our fridge shelf worked well for me). After removing the housings, the first housing one needed bit of rinsing since the orange parts were all over but the other two of the different material needed only a little bit of rinsing. The new filters were slightly different looking. The stage 2,3 filters I took out looked black while the one I put in was white. The stage 1 was orange and the one I put in was white. It is probably due to use that the color had changed. Tightening the filter housings and then putting it back was straightforward. There were no leaks and I did check that I had all the black o-rings in place; in the filters and the housings. Overall, easy to change. The reverse osmosis water filter has been so great to us and I'm relieved that the stage 1-3 filter replacement were straightforward.

The wrench doesn’t say Apec as advertised. I’ve used a half wrench before with no problem, and I lost my last wrench, I ordered this one, but it didn’t work and feels like I can snap it with my hands.

Simple to install. Took longer to clear out some space to work and to setup a cushion to lay on while installing. We used to buy bottled water to drink and purified water for coffee. That got expensive, at least $5 a week, so $250+ annually plus lots of plastic. The city water just didn't taste good to drink. With this filter, we no longer have to buy water to drink. It will pay for itself in less than 6 months. Filter life is yet to be determined. I think it will do well given our usage. Regardless, for the convenience of not having to lug home jugs of water, I'm happy even if it was just break-even cost.

Excellent overall. After two weeks, the water quality and taste is excellent. No leaking. Very much enjoy this filter, particularly it's relatively high 1.75gpm flow rate. One downside was: To connect to most new faucets, this should provide a 3/8 to 3/8 threaded union (male to male). Cost me an extra $8 at the hardware store 🤷🏻♂️.

Installation was simple. Would give it 5 stars if the uv light didn’t warm my water. In the morning I have to run the water 10-15 seconds for it to get cool again. Other than that the UV light seem to be doing its job 👍🏼

This is a super convenient kit if you're a DIYer and aren't good at measuring PVC, CPVC, etc, and/or don't feel like using the piping. A big time saver. Sturdy product. The kit I received had a broken seal. It's supposed to have a minor gap but this one was completely broken. Thankfully the water filtration system had two spares that fit the steel tubing perfectly.

Installed new cabinets and sink, wanted to add a filter. I went with this one because the water lines connect with compression fittings and I felt more confident about leaks. Only bad thing is you have to shut off the water valve to change the filter and many under sink filters don't need that.

The flow rate of my RO Water System didn't increase. This kit includes a 1/4 to 3/8 adapter to to work with your previous faucet 7/16 to 1/4 connector. That creates a bottleneck in the flow rate. This kit should actually inclue a 7/16 to 3/8 faucet connector, so you can connect the 3/8 tubing directly to the faucet and not through a 3/8 to 1/4 adapter and back to 1/4 to 7/16.

Exceptional services. Value products support
