So when you go to replace the pre-filter can be purchased on apecwateroutlet.com (20" filter) Fi-CBC20-BB or (10" flilter) Fi-cbc20-bb. The media can not be bought on apecwateroutlet.com it has to be purchased through APEC. Media item number is M-FT-15. I feel like this water softening system is great.

It’s not SUPER easy to replace but in my mind it’s absolutely worth it. My husband who is no handy man puts them together and they work great without leaking. The peace of mind these give me that our water is clean and my family is healthy is wonderful. We also love the taste! No sulfur-smelling well water in our drinking water.

We installed this filter because, during the sale of a home, the pH came back at 6.1, acidic by EPA standards. This filter was advertised to raise the pH for 24,000 gallons. On days 1, 2 and 3 it did not work as advertised. We uninstalled it and installed a chemical feeder instead (to the tune of $1500). Save yourself the money and headache, skip this product.

Es muy delicado en las conexiones. Un mal movimiento y desconectas muy facil alguna. Y al estar bajo tarja las fugas deben vigilarse todo el tiempo. Por otro lado es muy exigente en la presión de entrada para que llene el tanque. A mi solo me llena la tercera parte. Así que instalaré una presurizadora.
