  • Great quality filters!! Filter replacements for stage 1-3 (and 5) are recommended every 6-12 months. I decided to be cautious and change them at the 6 month mark. I was disgusted how dirty the filters were in only 6 months! I live in Florida and the water is terrible. For the first time, I highly recommend changing the filters as early as possible so you know what kind of water you are dealing with.

  • The softener seems to be doing a decent job. I'm on a well and took my hard water down to 25 roughly. I emailed the company about the hose not fitting straight into the brine tank fitting and never received a response. I ended up modifying the tube myself. Instructions are okay but could be more clear. I set the unit on 175 for water hardness and it regens every 603 gallons and takes about 34 minutes. Overall I'm happy with how it performs just wish there was more support from the company.

  • Great quality faucet for the price. The ones from the water treatment facility are much cheaper but look similar. RO filters are hard to find at the store. Found this online. Was pleased with the weight and quality. A few large manufacturers that you find on all the store shelves make one but they are 3 times the cost of this one and I preferred the way this one looks.

  • This product literally changed my life! Back in the day I had to go the rite aid on a monthly basis, find Poland Spring boxes, haul them home in the trunk of my car, carry them to the second floor. Then same thing over and over again every month, carrying 5-6 boxes of Poland Spring up the stairs to the second floor. Also, I became a bit concerned with the fact that I throw out more than 100 plastic bottles per month. That is when I started doing my research. At first, I wanted to go with a BRITA pitcher (or PUR) but then after doing so much research I came to realization that those filters do make tap water better, but still not healthy enough for me and especially for my newborn. At first, under sink water systems were out of the question for me because I did not want to deal with finding a plumber, doing major plumbing overhaul in the house which I rent and pay top dollar for this. I was very fortunate to stumble upon this product and after reading all of the reviews I am very happy that I purchased it. The item comes in a big white box labeled APEC. Unboxing it was fairly easy so no need to write too much about it. The top layer of the package consists of 3 filters, then in a middle is 4th stage membrane filter and the piece that goes on top of the filters. Also, there is a wrench that helps tie the filter. There are also color coded tubes, faucet, adapter, drain saddle, teflon tape, etc. On the bottom there is another box with the water tank. In order to install the item you will need a drill, adjustable wrench and a screw driver. Installing 3 stage pre-filters is fairly easy, just follow the instruction as to which filter goes where and then screw them into the arrowhead using the included wrench to tighten the housing, but don't over tighten it too much. Installing the system under the sink is easy if you follow instructions carefully. One thing to note is that instructions are also available in the video format on youtube - just search for APEC water filter installation video. Although installing the item is fairly easy and the video shows that too, the difficult part is spending an hour or two under the sink, which can get very uncomfortable. Also, would be great to have someone help you because it is a bit difficult getting under the sink and out then back under again. The video makes it sound much easier that in real life. To install the feed water adapter you have to turn off the cold water (check that you turned off the cold water by turning on the faucet). I recommend turning off both hot and cold water just to be sure. Then you need to loosen the nut at any location and connect feed water adapter there - you can either loosen the nut at the top where the faucet is or at the bottom where the valve is, either is fine. Be careful - that adapter edges are very sharp and I cut my hand twice by accident. Also, don't forget to use teflon tape that is provided. Now the drain saddle - you need to use a specified size drill (refer to instructions) and drill a hole in the drain pipe. You need to drill in the horizontal pipe to avoid drain noise. If you do it correctly you will never hear the filter system working or making noises. Keep in mind that you need to apply pressure on the drill so that it goes through the pipe. Then you need to align the hole on the saddle to the hole on the pipe. I am not going to comment on installation of tubes so please refer to instructions - just don't want to confuse you. Last step is to install the faucet - you can either drill a hole in your counter but I used the spray hose hole instead. I removed spray hose (you disconnect it under the sink and pull it out, make sure that the water is turned off. Then I put the faucet that came with APEC through that hole. Once you are ready and everything is assembled, I suggest emptying at least 5 tanks of water. To do this, just wait till the tank is full and then open the faucet to let the water drip until it stops and repeat that 5 times. Now, in terms of water quality and taste. I got APEC ROES PH75 which is the same thing as ROES-50 but great tank output (75 vs. 50) and PH filter which you can either use or not use. There is a way to bypass it and you can call APEC support, they are great they can guide you through the process. For extra $20/$30 I decided to go with ROES PH75 - and I love it. You also get more output from your tank. And if you ever decide not to go with PH filter you can bypass it. At first, the water tasted a bit bitter to me, especially compared to Poland Spring but then either I got used to it or flashed a few tanks. Now the water taste is perfect, I absolutely love it. It replaced Poland Spring and I had it for a few months and everyone loves it. I also bough glass Life Factory bottles and love them too! I also bough HM Digital TDS (ppm) meter to check the water quality. Since this PH filter (6 stage) adds minerals back the ppm will not be zero, I am getting around 10. Tap water in NYC is pretty good at about 50 ppm and Poland Spring is roughly 20ppm. If you are considering PH75 or non-PH 50, I suggest going with PH75. It has better gallons per day output and comes with PH filter. If you don't like that filter you can easily bypass it. The water tastes great and this filter definitely improved by life. Thanks to APEC, apecwateroutlet.com and to all the reviewers who contributed to the great rating of this product, which in turn resulted in me buying it!

  • Product weight is listed 9lbs and I bought it under that premise thinking it would be heavy duty. Felt really light when I picked it up and decided to check the weight. It’s 5 lbs. See picture. Tanks with similar weights can be bought for lot cheaper and they come with free ball valve. Returning.

  • We formally purchased another line of filters for a different under-sink RO system and would spend $200 every 3 months and it required us shutting down our system and purging it for 24 hours. This system can be used within 15 minutes of installing/replacing filters. The water quality is even better. Although the filters do create waste once you dispose, it isn't in comparison to the hundreds of plastic bottles that create even more waste and hazards. We live in a town where water filtration is subpar and very hard. The drinks you make with our water vs. this filter can't compare in clarity alone. I only gave it 4 stars for installation due to the fact that most under-sink units aren't easily accessible and require some maneuvering on floor level, but overall straightforward. We date and mark each filter with the corresponding order of installation to ensure we properly install them and change them out timely. In the pictures you will see a glass of tea, with the same tea concentration, with the same steeping times, same brand. The difference is one on the left is from the tap source no filtration and the one on the right is filtered with APEC. The smell alone was a stark contrast before the clarity and taste was addressed. We used a flashlight to show the murkiness of the one on the left (a) vs. the one on the right (B) in two of the pictures. Just an overall great investment.

  • I have been using the APEC Water Systems ROES-UV75-SS for some time now, and overall, I’m very satisfied with its performance. The filtration capability is excellent, significantly reducing TDS levels from 181 ppm in my tap water to just 6 ppm in the purified water. The taste is noticeably clean, and it performs on par with or better than bottled purified water. Pros: ✅ Strong Filtration Efficiency – The system effectively removes impurities, providing very low TDS levels in the output water. ✅ No More White Residue in Humidifier – One of the best results I’ve noticed is that after switching to this RO water for my humidifier, there is no longer any white powder buildup on the floor, which used to be a major annoyance. ✅ Wastewater Can Be Repurposed – While the system does produce a fair amount of wastewater, I use it to water my backyard plants, so it doesn’t feel wasteful. Cons: ❌ High Wastewater Ratio – The TDS of the wastewater is slightly higher than the input tap water, measuring 200 ppm. Although expected with RO systems, it’s something to consider. ❌ UV Light Stays On Constantly – This is my biggest issue. The UV light does not turn on and off based on water flow; instead, it remains on continuously. This leads to a slight increase in the temperature of the filtered water, making it lukewarm instead of cool. It would be much better if the system allowed the UV light to be flow-activated rather than always on. Test Data: • Tap Water: TDS 181 ppm, EC 382 μS • RO Purified Water: TDS 6 ppm, EC 14 μS • Wastewater: TDS 200 ppm, EC 421 μS • Bottled Mineral Water: TDS 77 ppm, EC 163 μS • Bottled Purified Water: TDS 31 ppm, EC 65 μS Final Thoughts: If you’re looking for an RO system with strong purification, this is a great choice. The UV light issue is the only thing that prevents me from giving it five stars. If APEC updates the design so that the UV lamp only activates with water flow, this would be a perfect system. Otherwise, I highly recommend it!

  • I am setting up a water filter system for my RV. Bought a clear ten inch filter housing: Hydronix HF3-10CLWH34PR 10" Clear Housing with White Rib Cap, 3/4" Ports with Pressure Relief Button on apecwateroutlet.com. These 3.5 inch O-rings fit this filter housing.

  • The filter change was very easy, took me about an hour working at a leisurely pace. Instructions cover how to swap out each filter. Individually, rather than all at once. So I turned off water supply, closed tank valve. Then swapped out all filters. Then left tank closed but turned on water supply AND turned on the filter water faucet for 15 minutes to purge the air and fill the new filters. Then I closed filter water lever. Opened tank valve and waited 3 hours to fill. Then I drained the tank. According to directions the 2nd tank is ready to drink.

  • Perfect fit for APEC 4.5"x10" water filter housing. Super strong, and zero issues with functionality.

  • Worked amazing for all 1/4 connections! I didn't realize my one line to the faucet was 3/8", but when I read the package it said it was compatible with both size hoses. (just needed to remove the insert for 1/4") please note this does not fit a 3/8" at all!

  • I have purchased these before and had good luck with what I received … until this last time. Sadly the charcoal filter was opened and damaged and not usable. Frustrating as this was very noticeable upon opening the box and indicates pretty poor quality control.

  • Came broken and damaged
