   Worked for about 2-3 weeks, then back to where I was prior to installing this. Item can not handle very high doses of iron and hydrogen sulfide.

   I wanted to give this 5 stars. It took the odor out immediately. I LOVED it so much, I ordered another one. But then, the smell came back in only 5 days.

   Edit: the manufacturer contacted me to apologize for the filter not working as long as expected, and attempted to trouble shoot my issues. Seems that the filter is too small for the high amounts of impurities in my water. I did love the filter for as long as it worked.

   This filter did not work and the grains inside got sucked into the plumbing. It actually damaged 3 of my toilets. Little green grains were everywhere you opened a water faucet. What in gods name? Do not buy these filters. I really can’t believe you can sell a product like this.

   One Of the Best Products!!!! Apec has my business for life !!! LOL!! I have tried many filter for Sulfur,Mineral,FE & the egg smell was still present . Tried this filter and it works for about 2-3 Months before refill and/ or replacement .

   It took a lot of the sulfur smell out at first but can still smell a “metal” smell… the sulfur smell came back after a few weeks unfort but is better overall.

   This filter is simply amazing. At our small farm cabin, we pump spring water from the ground. Even with using a 5 micron sediment filter, our water still had an extremely strong metallic smell/taste. Almost like sucking on pennies. Water also was leaving behind the rusty color of iron in the shower, sink, and toilet.

   After much research, it seemed that a $1,000 or more backwashing system with special reverse osmosis was the only way to remove the metal/iron. Being a recreational property, we just don’t use the cabin enough to justify such an expensive/complicated filtration system.

   I found this filter and couldn’t believe that it claimed to target metals like iron and magnese. I thought for $44 it was worth a try. I bought a new two-canister whole house filter housing and installed it. The water first hits a 10 micron sediment filter, then flows into the canister with this filter. Within a couple days, our water is flowing cleanly without any metal taste or smell. As a deer hunter, sentless showers are a must! We are overjoyed with the performance of this filter. It is literally saving us hundreds of dollars!
