   Had my doubts about this filter being able to get rid of a strong and disgusting sulfur smell and taste from my well water. To my surprise and great satisfaction, this filter had done the job! It’s been in for 2 months and so far, no sulfur smell and my well water tastes great. Will keep it for 3 months, and will buy another to replace it. LOVE THIS FILTER. WORTH EVERY PENNY.

   It didn’t really help our sulfate issue at all on well water. Maybe this was not the right product for that. We did eventually get it resolved. Bleach shock and new softener was the fix. This review is mainly to show the inside of the unit. It is full and heavy so it get 3 starts neutral I guess.

   This worked for about 30 days before the water became discolored again. At first it was clear, then after a month you could see the water was no longer clear. So expensive too, I thought I’d take a chance like everyone else and see how it worked out. We have a lot of Iron in our town water. Unfortunately, this didn’t make the grade.

   we had sulfur smell like everyone says.
   we have a water softener that i removed all the salt and cleaned the tank. that did not do anything although i felt good about it cause it was clean. after i replaced my regular carbon filter with this one the smell, taste, odor, presence in the air after a shower stinking up the place was totally gone. i replaced, ran my sinks for a while, then by the time shower time came the smell like i said was gone.

   This product has no instructions and no data on what KDF materials are in it. “KDF” just part the model number but it’s NOT a KDF filter. The listing says “Material: Coconut Shell,Activated Carbon.” Where’s the KDF material? KDF stands for kinetic degradation fluxion, one type of copper zinc water filtration whose main filtration line consists of brass granules with varying proportions of zinc and copper alloy. This cartridge doesn’t seem to have that.

    I usually do not do any reviews but felt i had to for this one. I like many of you have a well and like most i had the rotten egg smell ( SULFUR )in my water. I have 3 different filtration filters and non would stop the smell. I purchased this because i have spent countless dollars on different filters that did not work. I installed this filter and did the flush because of the carbon in it and after using the water in the house the smell has gone away. Now understand i have a whirlpool whole house filter and then i have a 10″ cartridge filter and a 2.5″ cartridge filter too. Its been a month now and no smell or stains so far. I can only attest that this filter did work for me but it may not for you. If you do purchase it make sure to flush until the water runs clear again. Good luck
