We’ve changed filters when needed. After 4 years it started trickling after a few seconds. Today we changed the one that’s recommended every 3-5 years and it didn’t fix the problem. Only one person drinks out of this faucet so 4 years sounds reasonable. Any ideas?
Thanks

This product was a perfect replacement. It took me a while to find the correct part, but it’s working as it is supposed to. No complaints.

This was sort of an easy install, I did need a flashlight to see everything clearly under the sink. Be sure to mark the R.O.’s housing and input hose connections so you can reassemble them correctly, there are four 1/4 tubes that will need to disconnected from the housing before you can replace the internal filter.
If this is the first time you have done this, there is a small ring around each hose fitting that needs to be compressed before the tubing can be disconnected, it’s a little tricky.
If you have done this before, remember that the tubing will develop wear marks from the compression fitting. Check the tubing for a smooth feel and replace or cut off any worn section.

I got a new system replacing my 10 year old one but it didn’t work. It appeared that no water was moving through this filter so, thinking I got a bad one I bought another. The flow was still very low (1/4 oz in 4 minutes) so I looked for other things that could be a problem. After replacing a few other parts with no improvement I was back to the same place, it had to be this filter, again. I bought a filter from another company and immediately everything was working properly. That’s two bad filters in a row from APEC and my last purchase from them ever.
