   I noticed a PH reading with the APEC filter system of 5.9 so I ordered and installed this filter kit.. The PH went up to 7.9. And the water taste was excellent. I change it when the PH gets below 7.5. I test the water quarterly with a PH tester available on apecwateroutlet.com.

   installed the water filter after my RO systems. I ran at least three gallons of water through the filter before we used any water from RO again. I filled up a glass of water and when I got to the end of the glass I noticed grit in my mouth. Think this must be a mistake and I had a glass that had something in it. I tried another glass of water with the same results. The next morning, I poured a glass of water from the RO system and set it on the counter. After about 1hr I looked, and you could see the particles in the bottom glass. Just to make sure I poured another glass of water in clean glass. Waited about 45 mins and it also showed tiny particles in bottom of glass. At this point I removed the filter and processed a return. If re-mineralized water is going to have grit, then I will stick with the plain RO water. I tried to go to APEC water systems website to submit a question to support but unless I missed it, they do not have a link on website for support.

   If you have a Reverse Osmosis (RO) drinking water system you should definately install one of these. The RO system is so good at removing impurities, it even removes all the minerals. While this might sound like perfect water, it is far from that. Without minerals in the water, when you drink that water, it will leach those minerals out from your bones. You see, water “wants” to be mineralized, which is why it leaches minerals out of the ground. This device will solve the problem. You will have drinking water with none of the nasties and all of the minerals, just like back when we were cavemen, and the cavewomen were dragging us into the caves by our hair for some R&R. I might have that part slightly wrong. So get you a RO system, install this hunk of loveliness, and you’ll be ready to go T-Rex hunting!

   I’ve been drinking Reverse osmosis water since 1981 and never worried about the minerals because I am very careful about my diet.
   Enter fish that need their minerals (hardness) cared for, and I finally sprang for the mineral filter. A few years ago, I got the separate container for the filter and gave the thing away. This is just a filter to plug into the hoses.
   DO IT! I had no idea how good the water would be! It actually tastes like water now! I’ll never be without one!
