Previously, with my 5 stage R.O., if I left a bottle of R.O. water out at my bedside, I noticed a distaste when I woke up and took a sip from it. Immediately after having installed the the Ultraviolet light between the 4th stage and 6th stage, a bottle of water left out overnight and no noticeable distaste as before. I’m sold on it, and in addition I purge the system with bleach, and replace all filters every six months, which will now include the ultraviolet light housing and new bulb.

Hopefully they clean my water. We have been using ROES-UV75 Reverse Osmosis Water Filter System for years (we have well water) and we haven’t get sick, so I guess it is working. The only complain is that the UV light doesn’t last long, 8 months or so.
