   An as far as the company and replacement that was totally my fault. They responded and it went to junk mail and I didn’t catch it. You couldn’t ask for better support. They supplied me with a bulb for free. My apologies

   It seems to do fine but no replacement bulb is available so it is too expensive for one-time use. The bulb seems to be out of stock everywhere and the manufacturer will not even respond as to where you can get one. Out of stock with them too.

   Can be a little tricky to install and additionally it can be installed in more than one position. Best position is after all the other filters so the the water is clean before passing through the UV sterilizer. Customer Support is excellent and my suggestion is to take the time to call APEC and have them walk you through the install. They are very supportive and helpful.

   Installation was simple. Would give it 5 stars if the uv light didn’t warm my water. In the morning I have to run the water 10-15 seconds for it to get cool again. Other than that the UV light seem to be doing its job 👍🏼

   This APEC ultraviolet stage was an addition to my present APEC RO system. It was easy to install, takes up very little space, and offers a bit more confidence that I am drinking the best water possible from my local source.

   The elbow part and the joint are cheaply built and there is no sealant. I installed it and within 2 hours I could here water squirting sound and when I went to my kitchen I see puddle of water. This part is junk don’t buy it. The customer service is closed for the weekend and I have to deal with the water damage. I was hoping this would work and very disappointed with the quality. I tried tightening the elbow joint but to no avail.

   I’ll cut right to the chase, this product leaks bad! Like real bad! I tried twisting the outlets even tighter just for the sake of trying, but to no avail. and it’s no wonder this product leaks as it does not come with gaskets. I happened to have gasket maker and remedied the situation myself. This product probably deserves a 1 star because for the price, a leaky product due to no gaskets is unacceptable! I decided to give a 2 star because now that I made the gaskets myself, it seems to be functioning as intended.

   Edit: complete and utter pile of trash downgraded to a 1 star! Stopped working after about 1 mth The UVC Ballast is beeping and flashing under fault. Worst part is that I can’t even return it because I’m a few days over the return date. Based on the multiple issues I’ve had, don’t even bother!

    The elbows illuminate with the light. They didn’t have any sealant tape on them and felt kind of loose. Wrapped them before install and no leaks so far.

    Very happy with the purchase. Surprised this add on didn’t come with the original kit. Everything was plug and play. The hardest part was trying to have power that’s constantly under the sink.. ended up creating a new switched plug for the up system..
