   I have the APEC RO-90 which is now an APEC RO-HI with the addition of this kit. In addition to this high flow upgrade kit, I have also added the 14 gallon APEC TANK 14 to my setup. The last part that I plan to add is the permeate pump kit. But of course, you want to know about THIS, right? I would say to the other reviewers who said it doesn’t increase the flow, your problem lies in inlet pressure, most likely.

   As I said, my system started as an RO-90. The cost of this kit was worth the money for me, as it has quite noticeably increased the flow from my refrigerator water dispenser as well as eliminated problems with my ice maker. If you add this kit and you still have flow issues, then you need to potentially add a booster pump, as your inlet pressure may be inadequate. Line pressure meters are readily available and cheap, as well as being simple to install.

   The flow rate of my RO Water System didn’t increase. This kit includes a 1/4 to 3/8 adapter to to work with your previous faucet 7/16 to 1/4 connector. That creates a bottleneck in the flow rate. This kit should actually inclue a 7/16 to 3/8 faucet connector, so you can connect the 3/8 tubing directly to the faucet and not through a 3/8 to 1/4 adapter and back to 1/4 to 7/16.

   This is an easy upgrade to get way more flow out of your system if it just had 1/4″ tubing before.

   One thing to note: APEC had accidentally packed a 1/4 x 1/4 tank valve in the box instead of the 1/4 x 3/8 valve it was supposed to come with. I called and they got a new one shipped out right away, great service, but definitely check your parts before you get started taking things apart!

   Relatively easy to install, took around 15 minutes. Probably fills things up about 50% faster. Considering how much I use my RO, it’s a worthwhile upgrade.
