Bought this for my fathers birthday. My parents have complained for months about the softener system in their new(ish) home. The system was old, clear corrosion in some places, and reduced water pressure (which was the daily pain point).

I researched a lot of different systems, and decided on this salt-less model (my parents are gettin too old to be lugging around bags of salt). The 10 year warranty and scale prevention is what sold me in the end.

Can’t comment on the installation as I hired a plumber, but was told it didn’t seem to be too much trouble for him.

The water pressure is vastly improved and the water is nice and soft. I feel pretty confident this was the right choice, but the test of time is what matters most. I’ll update if anything changes/develops.

We’ve had this installed for about 4 months and I’m very satisfied, but it’s important to know what you’re buying (clearly the current 1-star review did not understand). This does not soften your water or remove hardness, but prevents limescale by crystallizing the minerals. We’ve had little to no limescale build up, so by that measure, this product has worked very well.

The valve on our unit leaked and Teflon tape didn’t solve it. Turns out it was a manufacturer defect, but the manufacturer promptly sent a new valve which didn’t leak. Good customer service experience.

Lastly, I’m not sure why they sell the 15 gpm unit when the required pre-filter only allows 10 gpm. Maybe save your money and go for the Futura-10.

This is such a farce. The water is not in any way soft, does not remove particles, causes my skin to itch, and still leaves scale on the dishes. I have to use at least double the laundry detergent. You can’t drink it because it doesn’t remove the arsenic in the water, though you can’t tell it’s not pure as it tastes okay. This is very misleading and I’m bummed my husband spent the money on this expensive system. I’m having to pay to remove it and add a water softener once again.
